Who Dat?

Back in the 80s, long before the X-Games existed, Tom Haig traveled the world as an extreme athlete. He visited more than 50 countries as an international high diver, doing multiple somersault tricks from over 90 feet.

That life came crashing down one Sunday morning in 1996. While training on his mountain bike, he smashed into the grill of a truck and became paralyzed from the waist down. But less than a year later he completed a 100-mile ride on a hand-cycle and traveled by himself to Europe and the Middle East.

Since then he has continued to travel the world as a consultant, writer and video producer. He spent six months launching a Tibetan radio station in the Himalayas and shot documentary shorts on disability in Bangladesh, France, Albania, Ghana and most recently Nepal.

A Sunny Morning in Paharganj

I could amuse you all with some anecdote about strolling around the main bazaar of Paharganj but the pictures do a much better job at that than me. Fill in your own stories!

KIDS

Rich kid at the New Delhi train station waiting for a ride to Agra.

I was sweating in 75 degree heat, but most of the kids were freezing in winter temps.

I think this mom thought I stole their souls with my camera.

High Schoolers waiting for a bus.

"Yeah, sure it's my sister's coat. Didn't your mom ever make you do that!"

"Man, you don't want to know what's in my brother's diaper."

"This picture had better not show up on some Injie's blog!"

"What's with the chair, dude?"

Men About Town

"Man, I should just kick your ass."

"Favre really doesn't surprise me. I mean I feel the same as when I was 25 too."

Is that dude wearing a cape?

DOG

One amazing thing about the new India is that animal care is a high priority. You don't see many mangy dogs anymore and most of them are spayed or neutered.

OVERSTIM

You can't go anywhere in Delhi without seeing a crop of cell towers.

Real Estate - in this case ad space, is at a premium in Paharganj. Leave no space un-marked

The streets of Delhi are a barrage to the senses. Something to see on every square inch.
